Entrepreneurs 2012 Conference

At the Entrepreneurs 2012 Conference, Chairman Toaha Qureshi MBE was a keynote speaker and a panellist on the panel Managing Culture: Diversity and Equality, which focused on how top organisations manage diversity and how it affects them. The conference was attended by thousands of people from across the UK and keynote speakers included former President of the United States Bill Clinton, comedienne Ruby Wax, business angel and singer Bruce Dickinson, Dragons Den winner Levi Roots and many more. As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the conference featured three days of debates and panels on the most relevant topics in the business world.

Mr Qureshi touched on the real life, practical experiences he faced during his life and how he took ownership of the issues of diversity that were brought up. He went on to say, “by bringing the top management down to meet the bottom people, you create a better system of communication – having an office on the top floor of a building is great, but at the same time being on the floor is essential”. “You need to create better people to people relations, there has been a lot going on between Pakistan and India, bring them together and celebrate the similarities as well as the differences” he added.

When asked on the use of social media, he said it is something to be careful of as we have seen people who have been in trouble because of it but it has a great use for businesses in marketing.
