Peace is the only option:Dr. Prabhakar Kore

‘Peace is the ultimate casualty of hostility between India and Pakistan. Time has come when we need to rise above the prions of prejudices to march with the leading nations of the world. This can only happen when India and Pakistan, two countries with one fifth population of the world mend fences and provide an opportunity to the millions of the wretched of earth to live in peace and harmony.’ These thoughts were expressed by Toaha Qureshi MBE, Chairman Forum for International Relations Development in his meeting with Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Member of Parliament from Karnataka, India and Chancellor, K.L.E. University in Lambeth Council Town Hall. He was meeting notables from Indian community in pursuit of FIRD’s drive to promote a ’50 Years No War Pact between India and Pakistan’.

Dr. Korey, a member of Bharatiya Janata Party, vehemently supported the No War Pact drive and assured of his full backing for this noble purpose. He mentioned that the cartel of arms sellers have taken both the countries hostage and war mongers have been let lose. He asserted that not only South Asia’s but rather entire world’s peace hinges on the peaceful relationship between India and Pakistan. He also shared that his charity concern KLES Prabhakar Kore Hospital supported six Pakistani children’s open heart surgery last year. He invited Toaha Qureshi to visit State of Karnataka and pledged full support for the peace process. Toaha Qureshi is scheduled to visit India later this year to meet Sonia Gandhi, the President of Indian National Congress and Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India in pursuit of FIRD’s drive for peace in South Asia. The meeting was attended by a large number of peace activists and community leaders from India and Pakistan.
